13 gallon bags do not fit this rectangular stainless trash can
I have bought 3 boxes of different brands of bags, tired of wasting my money, and I don't have the receipt to return this stainless trash can. None of the bags stretch enough to fit around the rim. What is an "L" type bag (which is on the sticker) anyway????? Such a waste of $!by WG 7/18/20142 answers

Walmart will want you to call Hong Kong - that's what they told me to do, anyway - you may have better luck. However, although it has a lip to hold it, the plastic garbage bucket insert that slides inside of the metal exterior sometimes drops below that lip and makes it impossible to get the insert out. It makes it especially difficult when it's filled with garbage. I've had this can for about 5 weeks now and I thought it was the cat's meow until it wasn't! I have had the insert get stuck on me 4 times already. My husband and I had to fight with it for nearly 20 minutes to get the insert out. Finally, this last time, the pedal rod came loose when trying to pry the insert out and we made several dents from banging on it. I've had enough. I don't have the receipt as I didn't expect to be returning a garbage can but I'm going to bring it back anyway and get store credit for something else. Unbelievable!! Each time we have put it back and reconnected the parts and it has been returned to perfect working order. It has been great! The 4 spacers or seats in the bottom of the can that hold the black plastic can at the (in)correct height LOL! (round peg looking plastic things in the bottom) simply were not made tall enough to prevent the black liner from dropping down into the metal can and getting stuck. The solution is simple. Cut a piece of 1/4" cardboard or plywood to a 15 1/2" x 9" dimension and drop it down flat in the can so it rests on the pegs and walla, the plastic can will not drop down in the metal can and become stuck. Now that that is remedied, we will see how long the actual mechanisms hold up, which, based on the other reviews, might not be too long... I will update if it is a "goner" in the near future... Now we can use the bags like it was designed to be used (use 13 gallon bags!!)
